Life can get a little scary at times and it's tricky to work through the fear when all you want to do is fight against it or run away. That's why the Yoga for When You're Afraid practice may just be your ticket to calming the nervous system to allow for qi energy (life force energy) to freely move through the body - helping to restore a calm and natural response to life's challenges.
During this comforting and gentle practice, you'll be stimulating the spine and in turn, the Bladder meridian. This meridian typically influences the autonomic nervous system (hello fight or flight response!) so when it's blocked or stagnant, we generally feel fearful, anxious, or lacking in self-confidence. Each pose will be held for longer periods to ensure you're stimulating the meridians and getting deeper into the fascia rather than just stretching things out.
Grab 2 blocks and blanket for extra support, roll out your mat, and let's conquer those fears together!
Namaste, Erin xx
