Gift yourself this time to practice self-love, compassion, and forgiveness as you commit to your yoga practice today and activate and balance your Heart Chakra (Anahata) – the energy centre that sits at the heart space / chest area and is the epicenter of all things ‘love’ based – self love, love for others and the planet, compassion, forgiveness, acceptance….all those loving vibes that can become hardened when we’ve been hurt in the past or are carrying forward ancestral wounds.
Symptoms of an unbalanced Heart Chakra can involve being overly defensive, feeling unloved and unwanted, putting oneself in the role of the savior or the victim, holding grudges for long periods of time, and fearing intimacy. Being that the Heart Chakra sits at the heart space, physical symptoms can show up such as respiratory ailments, circulatory, and heart related conditions to name a few - all things that no one wants to experience.
The heart is the seat of the soul so it’s worth investing some time to bring this chakra back into alignment. During this soul nourishing yoga practice, you’ll be encouraged to focus on the chest, shoulders and hands – imagining loving energy permeating in those areas to bring lasting healing and support.
