This 50-minute hatha-style yoga class for all yogi levels focuses on clearing the channel of communication so you can freely express yourself (your truth) and be heard. The Throat Chakra (5th Chakra) is connected to your ability to speak out, listen well, and creatively turn your goals and dreams into reality.
But when the throat chakra is a little off balance, underactive or overactive, it can lead to symptoms such as feeling as though you need to silence your truth, have difficulty getting your point across or expressing yourself creatively, or feeling small / shy or the opposite - over communicating without listening effectively. Physically you may experience issues surrounding the throat area and thyroid. Neck and shoulder pain may also be experienced as well as earaches and headaches.
So during this yoga practice, you'll be opening up the chest and getting into the throat and shoulder areas to loosen up the energy and reactivate the Throat Chakra. Sound good? Awesome!
