Chakra Balancing Yoga Series

Welcome to the Chakra Balancing Yoga Series! In this 8-part yoga series, you'll be exploring, activating, and balancing each of the seven main energy centres of the body. These energy centres, stretching from the base of the spine and all the way to the crown of the head, represent different aspects of your life whilst regulating the flow of life force or vital energy ('prana' or 'chi') throughout the body.

When a Chakra becomes blocked, underactive or overactive, you may notice or feel symptoms that are the opposite to 'feeling good'. Physically, these symptoms can show up in the same area where the unbalanced Chakra is situated, so this can be a really good clue to know which Chakra may need some love and attention. On the other hand, you may be feeling emotional or mental symptoms, so it's good practice to understand what each Chakra is specifically focused on to help you know which Chakra to work on.

If this is the first time in taking part in this series, I recommend that you begin with the Root Chakra and move through each one so that all chakras become fully balanced and activated. Then, you can revisit a specific yoga practice anytime you feel a particular Chakra may be a little off balance or in need of an energetic boost.
